The Dynamic Duo of Jake Kaligis and Michael Rauscher have been performing music for all ages in the Lehigh Valley and beyond since 2002.
It has been a great journey. Following in the footsteps of greats such as the Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel the Duo play two acoustic Martin guitars
and switch off vocalizing leads and harmonies. While steeped in the American music of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan they are also heavily influenced by the "British Invasion" era of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Their influences are as diverse as the repertoire that defines them, "Dynamic". Playing and interpreting great standards like Georgia on My Mind and What a Wonderful World, they manipulate renditions of songs from the 70s artists of the like James Taylor, Led Zepplein, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and even Tom Waits. This sets the stage for Jake and Mike to have a unique setting to minister their own original music. These songs have country flair with jazzy overtones, as well as some Latin flavors that sneak onto the menu as well. While playing in two separate full ensembles, they have this platform to hone and stylize their own compositions. So they're a little bit country and a little bit Rock and Roll, they're definitely all heart!
